I realize I have once again fallen off the face of Tumblr but I am back! Since Labor Day weekend I have been working two jobs as I have been transitioning into my new career as a Personal Trainer. As of last week though I am happily down to just one job (phew). I can finally say I have free time again!
Be on the look out for my next post which will be on DIY postcard Save the Dates…if my printer obliges of course.
madsweat asked: Congratulations on your test!
Thank you!
Today I passed my NASM exam! I am now a certified personal trainer! I finally have the time again to reintroduce myself to Tumblr. Oh, & hello new career!
I met Randy Fenoli this past Saturday when Brooke said yes to the dress at Kleinfeld’s! I’d love to share some of the photographs I took but they’re all of Brooke in the dress which can’t be revealed until 11/11/11! It was such an amazing experience being able to see the store in person & recognize the consultants from TLC’s Say Yes to the Dress! Brooke’s consultant was Diane & we were seated on the main couch where they film the show! Diane made it easy for us & found the dress on the first try! The dress is exactly how I envisioned Brooke to look on her wedding day - classic & timeless. She tried on a total of four dresses but nothing topped our reaction to Brooke in the first gown.
I won’t lie - I’ve already filled out an application to be on the show…
I would like to take this time to vent…
Why?
I’m stressed out.
Why am I stressed out? Let’s see…
Planning our 2012 wedding. The thought of our mounting credit card debt due to paying two separate rent payments for the month of April & May. My 3rd nasal surgery scheduled for May 25th. The fact that we’re still unpacking our new place & need to clean out our old apartment by May 23rd. My Service Engine Soon light came on at the tail end of last week. I need to take & pass my NASM exam by July. We have two weddings to attend in July & one in August (weddings equal $ if you didn’t already know). Brian’s grandmother is undergoing chemo. I haven’t had time or $ to visit my six month old nephew in Florida. I need to start my career. I have no time for my art projects. My skin is breaking out for the 1st time in months. I will no longer be covered for health insurance through my stepfather as of my 26th birthday.
That about covers it…
I’ve been wanting to get that off my chest. I know I will get what I need to get done but I’ve been feeling overwhelmed this week in particular. I need to remember to just breathe & take it one day at a time.
We’ve officially booked our wedding venue! Brian & I will be married on September 15th, 2012 in Bristol, Rhode Island at Mount Hope Farm! I can now relax for a few months until the real planning begins.
In the meantime Brian & I are in the process of moving from Acton to Maynard. We’ve been living at our new residence since Saturday & are currently without cable & internet until tomorrow afternoon so please excuse my absence from Tumblr…it’s been a crazy few months to say the least. I feel like I need a vacation from real life for a week or two but that won’t be happening anytime soon…
So I’ve just discovered Etsy. I’ve heard of it before but I’ve never really taken the time to browse & truly appreciate the site for what it is. I’m officially addicted & once I’m ready to take on the seller aspect you can find me at TurquoiseTide.
